A brilliant follow-up to one of my favourite YA novels from last year. The premise behind this series is so cool. Once again, I loved all of the time travel and period details. The dynamics between the characters were even better than before, and I can't wait to find out what happens next! Joan is such a strong protagonist, and I loved seeing how she dealt with the repercussions of her decision at the end of Only a Monster. This series is a must-read for YA fantasy fans.
